Equal Opportunities...
We believe every student deserves a fair opportunity to demonstrate their spoken language ability and gain a formal qualification in their community, heritage or home language.
Language is Everything provides qualified language assessors to support the speaking and listening components of GCSE and other educational language exams.
Our role is simple: to ensure spoken language exams are conducted accurately, fairly and professionally, regardless of the language involved.
Supporting schools, exam centres and bilingual students
Language is Everything works with:
Secondary schools and colleges
Exam centres and education providers
Bilingual and multilingual students
Private and external candidates
We support schools by supplying experienced assessors who can confidently support spoken language exams, helping students gain formal recognition for their language ability while ensuring exam requirements are met.
Assessors in any language
We can provide language assessors in a wide range of languages, including community, heritage and less commonly taught languages.
Our assessors:
Are qualified, experienced linguists
Conduct assessments live, in line with exam expectations
Support speaking and listening tasks at GCSE level and equivalent
Create a calm, supportive environment for students while maintaining consistency and fairness
This flexibility allows schools to offer speaking and listening exams in languages they may not otherwise be able to support internally.
“For our home language GCSE’s Language is Everything provided an efficient service from start to end. Their staff were fabulous to work with and the pupils were put at ease by the calm and efficient manner of the language experts. From Persian to Portuguese and Polish we will certainly be using them again next year!”

Often the schools’ preferred choice for exam boards offering this GCSE are AQA or Pearson Edexcel. We offer assessors in all of the languages provided by the exam boards and hope that more will join the list soon.
Can assessments be carried out remotely or on-site?
Yes. Depending on the language, exam board, and school preference, assessors can be provided either on-site at the school or remotely via secure video conferencing, ensuring flexibility and minimal disruption to the school timetable.
What part of the GCSE does the language assessor support?
Our language assessors support the speaking and listening components of the GCSE language qualification. They work in line with the relevant exam board requirements to ensure the assessment is carried out correctly and fairly.
