At the time of writing (November 2021), we are up for six regional awards and are on tenterhooks about the results which we’ll find out this month!
This is on the back of being awarded the UK’s 3rd Best Workplace for Women from Great Places to Work during the Summer and our managing director Lloyd Tidder being named one of the Humber Region’s Top 30 under 30 in the Spring. He attended the Covid-delayed celebration event on October 29 with some colleagues and says it was fantastic.
In the Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards, we are up for Business Leader of the Year (our CEO Carolyn Johnson), Outstanding Employer and Best Company with a Turnover under £10m. We will be attending the gala dinner and ceremony on November 17 at Headingley Stadium, Leeds, when the winners will be revealed.
We have been nominated in the categories of Diversity & Inclusion, Apprentice of the Year (Anzelika Gzibovska) and Business of the Year (up to 50 employees) for the Hull Daily Mail Business Awards, the winners of which will be announced on November 18, the day after the Yorkshire Post event! This time we’ll be heading to the Double Tree by Hilton in Hull where we’ll get to mix with lots of well-deserving local businesses and sponsors.
While we are buzzing from all the recognition we are receiving, it is important to say that the pandemic put a lot of pressure on staff as demand surged from clients, both existing and new. We all pulled together and ensured we could deliver vital services while the mental and physical health of employees, interpreters and customers remained a priority.
Lloyd Tidder said: “It’s been an incredible example of teamwork under extreme pressure, so we are all feeling very proud of being shortlisted for these awards. Language is Everything’s head office team double in size along with our turnover, and we continue to recruit and develop our services as we look to the future after this exceptional year.
At Language is Everything, our aim is to provide a service to help others communicate, no matter the language or situation, and we can’t do that without our people.
Our fantastic in-house team is our biggest asset, along with our network of highly skilled interpreters and translators.Meet our team
