Language and cultural training

In a nutshell...

We have a successful track record of delivering language and cultural training to business. We work in partnership to develop tailor-made courses that fit perfectly with our clients' 'big picture'. Typically, our courses include:

Conversational skills — usually, the objective is to help students build strong and friendly working relationships with overseas contacts, not conduct detailed negotiations

The differences between different countries — for example, Spanish varies across Latin America, Arabic varies across north Africa and the Middle East

Cultural briefings — the aim is to get a better understanding of different ways of thinking around the world. Relationship-building is as much about culture as it is about language.

Format

Classes are typically two-hour sessions held weekly or fortnightly. We often recommend an 'off the shelf' home learning package, which is incorporated into the classes.

Our trainers

Our trainers are all professional linguists, with strong backgrounds in business and commerce. The trainer we select for a particular course will have extensive experience of working and travelling within the target country or region.
